Master Bedroom Refresh: Transitioning to Fall
Transitioning from Summer to Fall is what kick started this whole master refresh project…so today I'm sharing my plan for updating our bedding. After much thought and debate, I've decided to stick with neutral bedding, while adding interest through texture.
Summer bedroom, Chicago
Even though this is obviously an older image from our Chicago house, it shows our summer bedding well. And that's really all that matters…I mean, I can't keep posting that awful image of our current room!
My goal with our new, cooler temperatures bedding is to simply replace the Euro shams and the extra large lumbar (not pictured above). This should, hopefully, keep costs down and make the transition as seamless as possible.
Here's what we've come up with. Yes, similar tones are at play here but the texture is what has changed. Chunky sweater knit blanket paired with luxurious velvet shams and natural linen. Lovely.
The blanket was a score and a half from Target and has already made it's way home with us. Just look at how it plays with our duvet. Here's to hoping it all comes together as easily and as quickly as our second layer has. Check out our first layer here.
Our Progress:
until next time,
