Sitting Room Makeover {Client Work}

Y'all this project has been a long time coming - I think we started it about a year ago, got sidelined by finding just the right ready made window treatments - but we're finally finished and I can't wait to share the final space with you!

This high ceiling, light filled space is the front sitting room of a beautiful Victorian home here in Charlotte. Prior to receiving a makeover, the room functioned as a playspace for their young children with an overbearing storage unit and deep red walls.

Our first suggestion was to lighten the walls, add comfy seating and work in a little pattern play to pay homage to the Victorian roots of the house. Lucky for me, my client has great taste and either had or found several of the key pieces herself - including the coffee table/trunk and accent chairs (which we reupholstered) and side table. We made a great team!

It's always fun working on projects like this. Thanks, Kristen and Jeremy for trusting me to transform your front room. I think we did good.

More to come...
