Our Christmas Tree and It's Home

It was a busy weekend around here - we finished decorating the tree and the house, finished off the holiday shopping, hosted some friends for dinner and got started on the holiday baking!

Phew, just typing all of that is exhausting!

The Living Room all decked out for the Holidays.
Check out the size of that pointsettia.
I only go for one a year, so it better make a statement!

I'm still loving this year's mantel and wreath!

The carved wooden reindeer is settled nicely in and amongst fresh greens and berries.

Ah, the tree - what we've all been waiting for!

I don't really do tree themes or color schemes.
I like a lot of lights, some basic golden balls and special meaning ornaments.
Tradition always stands the test of time!
Our tree has a tendency to look similar year to year and I am ok with that.

A couple of night-time shots to round out the tour.

Ah, the holidays are truly upon us now...it's important to take time to actually enjoy the decorations in the midst of all the hustle and bustle.

This week I'm planning posts on my dining room, a cookie recipe, a home tour and of course, Friday I'll be announcing the winner of my first CSN store giveaway. For a chance to win, click here.
